Letter To Our OB Patients

Kalispell OB•GYN Associates

Dear OB Patients,
You are very important to us. We want you to know about changes coming to our practice and to reassure you that your care will remain consistent, compassionate and thorough. On July 1st, 2022, Kalispell OB/GYN and our embedded Logan Health physicians (Doctors deHoop, Huff, and Lauer) are moving into separate offices. This is not a bitter separation – the providers are friends as well as colleagues, and that is not changing. This is strictly a business decision. Dr. Jonas and the Kalispell OB/GYN mid-level Practitioners plan to stop providing routine obstetrics and prenatal care, and Dr. Jonas plans to stop delivering babies and performing Cesarean sections, by September 1st, 2022.

Our Kalispell OB/GYN providers are Dr. Gwenda Jonas, and our mid-level Practitioners: Kassandra Patton, Austin Rusher, Shawn Shanahan, Haley Peters and Kaycee McIntosh. They will continue to provide early obstetric care (up to 12 weeks) along with the full spectrum of gynecological, infertility and surgical care in our new office. The new office is located in The Falls Building at 165 Commons Loop, Suite E, Kalispell, Montana, just a few minutes away. Dr. Jonas will continue delivering babies through the summer to assist as our Logan Health Doctors set up their new practice. This means you may choose to see Dr. Jonas for your continued OB care through the summer at Kalispell OB/GYN at The Falls. She may also be the doctor on call when you go into labor and it is time to deliver your baby.

Doctors deHoop, Huff and Lauer will become part of Logan Health Women’s Care OB/GYN and will continue full obstetric care going forward. They will also continue to see patients for gynecological care. The details of their new office are still being finalized, but they will remain in the old Kalispell OB/GYN office (210 Sunnyview Lane) for some period of time. To make an appointment, Logan Health Women’s Care OB/GYN can be reached at 406-858-8200.

While Kalispell OB/GYN does not plan to provide prenatal care after September 1st, 2022, until that time you have the option of where you receive your care. Attached to this letter is a records release for your obstetric care. If you will deliver after September 1st, 2022, or simply desire your care to transfer to Logan Health Women’s Care OB/GYN (Doctors deHoop, Huff, and Lauer), please fill out and return the provided Release of Records to the front desk. With this transition, your obstetric medical records will be transferred from Kalispell OB/GYN to Logan Health Women’s Care OB/GYN record department. These records will be needed for the Logan Health doctors to continue caring for you during your pregnancy and delivery. Through July 1st nothing will change.

If your estimated delivery date is on or before September 1st, 2022, you may remain in the care of Kalispell OB/GYN and Dr. Jonas and our mid-level practitioners will continue seeing you through your pregnancy. The doctors who may be on call to deliver your baby remain the same until that time as they are right now (Doctors deHoop, Huff, Jonas, and Lauer).
Thank you for letting us be a part of your obstetric care. We are honored.
Warmest Regards,

Doctors Gwen Jonas, Thom deHoop, Jenna Huff and Erin Lauer
